Welcome to UMaine's first chapter of RunYourCity!
RunYourCity is excited to kick off a new chapter at the University of Maine, Run Orono. Run Orono is a part of Run Your City, a non-profit focused on creating an inclusive community through running. Our mission is to help children build confidence, develop healthy habits, and feel inspired. We aim to ensure sports are accessible to all kids, regardless of socioeconomic status or ability. This is our first year of Run Orono, our local chapter, and we are so excited to introduce it into our community! Our program is run by University of Maine student athletes and is completely free. Each season will run for six weeks, and in that time we are hoping to introduce children to the sport of running and help them to find joy and meaning in having a healthy lifestyle. Along with practicing and racing, each week we will go over certain values that are important to instill in children early, like teamwork and goal-setting.

Andrew Card
President
Andrew is a Senior from Woolwich, Maine. He has been running track for 7 years! During his time at the University of Maine, he has specialized in the 400m dash, along with other sprinting events. Andrew is super excited to be the President of UMaine's first RunYourCity chapter!
Catherine Primavera
Community Outreach / Engagement
Catherine is a Junior from Walden, New York. She ran distance for 4 years before moving onto sprints her last year and a half in high school. Her main events are the 200m and the 400m. Catherine is majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and hopes to specialize in Audiology. Outside of track, she enjoys hiking, photography, and baking. She is VERY excited to be apart of Run Orono!
