A little bit more about Katerina
Bio
Katerina ran track and cross country at the University of Maryland, where she majored in computer science with a minor in tech entrepreneurship and corporate innovation. During her four years as a Terp, she became an All-Time list record holder in the 800m and school record holder in the 4x800. After graduating, she qualified for and ran the 2026 Boston and Chicago marathons. Katerina now works as a Software Engineer at Capital One, bringing the same discipline that carried her through Big Ten competition to everything she builds. She started as a founding member of UMD's Run Your City chapter, and then moved on to be a part of the exec team because she knows what running gave her: confidence, community, and the belief that showing up is half the race, and wants every kid to have the same shot at finding that out for themselves.
